Automotive Service Technician/Apprentice

Hawkesville Auto Service is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician Apprentice or Automotive Technician Journeyman to join our friendly team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and aptitude in automotive repair and possess excellent problem-solving skills. Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic tests to identify issues and repair a variety of vehicles

  • Conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections

  • Repair and replace faulty components, such as engines, transmissions, and electrical systems

  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to assess their overall condition

  • Maintain accurate records of all service and repair actions performed

  • Communicate with service advisors to explain vehicle issues and provide recommendations for service

  • Stay up to date with advancements in automotive technology and attend training sessions

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 310S/310T Red Seal Certificate or an experienced Apprentice will be considered

  • The ideal candidate would possess 3 or more years of experience as an Automotive Technician/Apprentice

  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment

  • Excellent understanding of vehicle mechanics and electrical systems

  • Strong knowledge of automotive repair techniques and best practices

  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage time

  • Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

  • Driver's License Required
